Cookies make websites work better. They are small text files placed on your computer by websites or sometimes by emails. They provide useful information to companies, which helps in all sorts of ways. For you, it means you can use the site more efficiently and save time by not having to re-enter your details each time you visit. They also make sure you receive the most relevant information. For us, cookies help us to analyse how our customers interact with our site so we can make improvements.
We use two types of cookies:
- When logged in to Blippit Boards and the Blippit App Maker, we use session cookies that are deleted when you log out. These are required to access the Blippit product services.
- When using our public Blippit websites, we use persistent cookies that remain in place across multiple visits to ours and other sites
Some of these cookies are essential and some are non-essential
Certain cookies are critical in order for you to use the Blippit Boards app and dashboard to create Boards. These are used ‘in-session’ each time you visit and then expire when you leave or log out of the site. They’re not stored on your computer and they don’t contain any personal data. However, you can delete them via your browser if you wish to, but this will restrict the functions that you’re able to carry out on our sites. For more information about how to disable cookies in your browser please visit the About cookies website
Here’s a list of essential cookies and how we use them:
Session Cookies: These enable you to carry out some essential functions on our sites, such as maintaining log in details for accessing resources held on your Blippit app making account. They also help by minimising the need to transfer information across the internet. They are not stored on your computer and they expire when you terminate your browser session.
Tracking Cookies: These enable us to recognise repeat visitors to the site. By matching an anonymous, randomly generated identifier, we’re able to record specific browsing information such as how you arrive at the site, the pages you view, options you select, and the path you take through the site. By monitoring this information we’re able to make improvements to our sites.
Here’s a list of non-essential cookies and how we use them:
Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to analyse page use, page interactions and the routes our customers take through our sites. These are known as ‘web metrics’. This is a web analytics service provided by Google enabling us to recognise repeat visitors to the site. By matching an anonymous, randomly generated identifier, we’re able to record specific browsing information such as how you arrive at the site, the pages you view, options you select, and the path you take through the site. By monitoring this information we’re able to make improvements to our site.
Hubspot: We use session cookies for the same reasons as described for Google Analytics.
Twitter: We occasionally use the Twitter pixel to help us understand how our Twitter promoted tweets are performing. These do not identify users personally.
We use secure & authenticated persistent sessions for our mobile apps (Blippit Boards) This means that you remain logged in to the app until you choose to log out from your mobile device. The session established does not contain any personally identifiable information about you and is secured from interception or hi-jacking using encryption. We do not and will not ever share any of your data with any third party.
You do not need to register on our public website to use it. However, the Blippit App Maker Tool & Blippit Boards app & Dashboard do require you to register for access to specific resources. If you register for access to Blippit we only use your information for sharing updates relevant to the service for which users have an account or to inform mailing and marketing campaigns that we run and manage.
By using Blippit Boards or Blippit App Maker you agree to being included in promotional and/or marketing materials where the content included is in the public domain. We will always ask permission to use quotes made via email or telelphone before using and ascribing them to individuals.
